I have a Dell Inspiron 8600th Sometimes the white stripe is on top and bottom of the screen and flash the image without the usual white. It has lost just around the corner, but it seems most of the rest of the screen. It was a magnet on the back of the laptop touch closed, and I found when I was locked, does not seem so difficult. The white spot is not fixed, all other lines is empty.
